As a Columbia, SC newborn and family photographer, I’ve had the absolute honor of walking alongside so many families during this first year, and I can tell you from the heart: these milestone moments are worth documenting.

Why First-Year Milestones Are So Important

 

The first year of your baby’s life is unlike any other. In just 12 short months, they’ll go from that curled-up, sleepy newborn to a bright-eyed little one full of personality. Every stage, every new expression, every milestone reached tells the story of who they are becoming.

 

That’s why I offer a thoughtfully curated Baby Plan Membership, designed to capture each beautiful chapter along the way. These milestone sessions preserve your family’s story as it unfolds.

 

Milestone Sessions Typically Include:

Newborn Session: Those first weeks are so fleeting. We’ll capture the tiniest details: sleepy eyelids, swaddled snuggles, and the deep love that’s just been born.

 

6-Month Sitter Session: Around halfway through the year, your baby will likely be sitting on their own. These sessions are filled with joyful expressions, gummy grins, and a whole lot of charm.

 

12-Month/1st Birthday Session: Whether we do a classic milestone session or add in a cake smash, this session celebrates everything your baby has become. They’re often standing, clapping, and showing off that beautiful little personality you’ve fallen in love with.

 

Each session builds upon the last, creating a cohesive and timeless gallery of images that will mean more with each passing year.

I know how full your hands (and heart!) are during this season, and that’s why I’ve created a portrait experience that’s all about serving you. From wardrobe styling and hair & makeup referrals to a calm and baby-led session approach, I’ve taken care of all the details so you can simply show up and enjoy the moment.

 

My Baby Plan families love the ease of having everything taken care of, including your artwork. After each session, we’ll meet virtually to select your favorite images and design heirloom albums, wall art, or gifts for grandparents. By the end of the year, you’ll have a beautiful, tangible collection that tells the story of your baby’s first year.
