Hello, I'm Lynn-D
I fell in love with motherhood photography after having my first child, Stevie. She changed me from the inside out. Peeling back the layers of myself and revealing a new woman who was now known as “Mama.”
I did not realize how quickly time passed us until I had her. One day, I looked down and my baby was 9 months old. I wondered to myself, “how is this possible?” I remember feeling the overwhelming sting of sadness.
This was an awakening moment for me. It began an intense love affair that would develop between myself and my camera.
Pictures were no longer pictures to me. They were tiny windows in time that allowed me to peak back at moments and details that once were her. She was my world and she was slipping away. Growing older and stronger every day and her need for me lessened with time.
It was then that I knew that I had found a passion in my heart. Something so pure, beautiful, and simple. I wanted to document motherhood as it was. The pain, the beauty, the vulnerability, and the strength that it represented.
I am a featured artist for Motherhood and Family Portraiture. You can find my work on The Motherhood Anthology, The Fount Collective, The White Wren and The Kindred Path.
"One day, all our children will have is pictures of us. Make sure you are in them. No matter what your hair looks like, your makeup looks like, or your body. They won't care about any of that, all they will want to see is you."

I do this for the Moms that see their children growing older and feel the sting of sadness in their hearts.
Photographing motherhood, in all of its perfectly imperfect glory, satisfies my soul.
There is so much beauty in the mundane and the precious in-between moments. That late-night rocking, the early morning snuggles, the super wet kisses, and those sticky little hand…these are the moments that we, as mamas, will look back on and yearn to relive again.
For me, I want capture the essence of what it is to be a part of your family. I want Mamas to recognize that the love they have for their children is a form of art.
Here is the thing, the truth about motherhood is that its hard, exhausting, draining, but it is also the most beautiful gift and experience.
I do this for the Mamas that want to be seen. I do this for the Mamas that want something different than stale, traditional, posed images.
You deserve to be seen Mama
What to expect
All about your session
I remember my first photography experience as a family with a toddler. Trying to get myself ready after the photographer changed our session date 5 days earlier the night before at 10pm. I had absolutely nothing to wear. Did I mention she emailed me at 10pm the night before.
I remember texting all my neighborhood gal pals, praying that their daughters had something my baby could fit in. I remember feeling so frazzled that day. Blow drying my insanely curly hair, throwing on makeup and hustling to make it to a session that I just found out about that morning.I treasure those portraits of our family, but I can’t help but remember the stress I felt that day! When I started my business, I knew I wanted to do something different. I want to make your session day feel as stress free as possible. This is why I take so few families a month. So I can dedicate more time for the ones I have in front of me.
I've worked hard to curate an experience with absolutely no stress about what to wear. I do offer a small Client Wardrobe that is ever growing. and if you choose to opt for styling assistance, I am available to help you along the way as we prep for the session day.
I've also researched the best makeup artists in the area, if you wish to set up a hair and makeup appointment for some pre-session pampering.
