Before your ordering appointment, I create custom gallery wall designs using photos of your actual home. You will be able to see exactly how your images will look on your specific walls before you ever commit to anything. This is one of my favorite parts of the whole experience because it takes all the guesswork out of it. You are not trying to imagine something. You are looking at it.

This is the part that most families do not expect. The decisions you make before your session day, the color palette, the wardrobe tones, the textures, all of those things are made with your future printed artwork in mind.

That is exactly why every session at LGP begins with a pre-session planning appointment. We talk about where you want to display your images. We look at your walls, your furniture, the light in your rooms. I build the session around where the artwork is going to live, not the other way around.

 

This is also why color palette planning matters so much. Certain tones photograph and print in a way that is genuinely luminous. Others do not hold their warmth in print the way they look on a screen. When we plan your session palette together, I am already thinking about how those tones will carry through to your finished artwork.

What to Expect at Your Virtual Ordering Appointment

After your session, we will meet again for your virtual ordering appointment. At this point, I will have your images edited and your custom gallery wall designs ready to show you. This is where you will:

• See your full gallery of images together for the first time
• Review the custom gallery wall layouts I have designed for your home
• Choose the images and products that feel right for your family
• Place your order

From there, your artwork takes a few weeks to be crafted and delivered. The timeline from ordering to delivery is generally between 4 – 10 weeks, depending on the products you choose. Your artwork will be ready to pick up, hang, and enjoy.

Are Digital Files Enough for Preserving Your Baby’s First Year?

I know that digital files feel like the practical, flexible option. And they do have their place. But I want to be honest with you: a digital file sitting in a folder is not the same as an image on your wall. The families who display their portraits are the ones who actually experience them every day. That is the entire purpose of doing this.
